We quite understand that it is impossible for any single newspaper to report all the news. A bona fide news organ does its job when it reports the essential news, that necessary information without which citizens, parents, officials and institutions cannot exist.

Miami: Land of Genius
Make that Peenius. So gas is double what it was a couple of years ago. Other cities are seeing their public transit routes filling with ex-drivers, fresh out of SUV juice, saving hundreds a month by riding buses or subways.
Leave it to Miami to find the sensible governmental action:
Miami-Dade Transit will cut nine bus routes and reduce others for an annual savings of $13.7 million.
